The Government of Quebec announces proof of compulsory vaccination for all sports activities in Quebec, as of September 1, 2021

Ontario Soccer continues to work in consultation with Canada Soccer and the Government of Ontario as we manage the 2021 return to play. We will keep members informed of the most recent developments regarding the Ontario Soccer return to play plan. .

Yesterday the The Government of Quebec has announced, that from September 1, 2021, they will implement a requirement for all sports activities, outdoor and indoor, to show proof of complete vaccination (two doses of vaccines approved by the Government of Canada) for players aged 12 and over. At the moment, this requirement is only for players.

For anyone outside the province, such as our teams from Ontario member organizations who travel to Quebec to participate in sports competitions, the Quebec government requirement is to present proof of vaccination from your provincial health ministry. Players who cannot show proof of vaccination will not be authorized by Soccer Quebec and / or their members to compete in their province.

If you have not received a vaccine receipt from the Government of Ontario in person or by email, you can contact the Provincial Vaccine Information Line at 1-888-999-6488 (TTY 1-866- 797-0007) or contact your local public health unit.

Ontario Soccer continues to monitor this matter closely in Ontario and will advise our members of any guidance provided by the Government of Ontario.

If you have any further questions, please contact the Ontario Soccer Aid Office.
